About the Centre/Service Wimble Street Child Care Cooperative is a small community, parent committee run centre situated in Parkville. We have 31 children each day with 15 children in the Kinder room and 16 children in our two multi-aged rooms.

We want to talk to enthusiastic candidates about the best way to cover a 12-month maternity position, either full-time (38 hours per week) or part-time (24 hours per week). We strive to find the best educators for our children, so we are open to discussing full time or job-sharing opportunities. Our kinder program includes bush kinder outings to Royal Park, weekly dance classes, incursions and local excursions. The centre welcomes 31 children each day, with 15 children in the Kinder room and 16 children in our two multi-aged rooms.   Role description
  • Our kinder room is for children aged three to five, with one diploma-qualified educator
  • We would prefer experience in a Kinder or in an early childhood setting, but will be flexible for the right candidate
  • There is a rotating roster with starts from 7.30 am and finishes and 5.45pm
  • Time allocated for planning and administration
Qualifications
  • A Bachelor of Teaching (Early Childhood) or equivalent ACECQA approved teaching qualifications
  • Valid VIT Registration (Early Childhood)
  • Experience in planning and implementing the educational program
  • Strong understanding of the National Quality Framework and EYLF
