About the Centre/Service We have a unique and exciting opportunity for an experienced and enthusiastic leader to join our team as a Nominated Supervisor at our up-and-coming Truganina South East Integrated Family Centre due to open in January 2022. This state of the art 99 place Integrated Family Centre will provide the Truganina community access to high-quality early learning, delivering kindergarten programs for three and four-year-olds.

Impacting the lives of over 6500 children, ECMS is one of Victoria’s largest Early Years Managers with over 60 kindergartens and early learning centres across Greater Melbourne. The Position This is a dynamic leadership opportunity where you, along with the support of ECMS’ Early Childhood Education & People recruitment team, be able to recruit and build your dream team, whilst establishing considered partnerships with families, community, and a range of stakeholders. Working alongside your new team, on and off the floor, you will also set a high standard of excellence in operational and pedagogical practice. What will you do?
  • Work with internal and external stakeholders to support the preparation and opening of the service
  • Build strong collaborative relationships with parents, families, educators and the local community to provide an inclusive and enriching play-based learning program for children
  • Be a pedagogical leader who can develop and implement a contemporary early year’s philosophy framed upon ECMS’ and our Truganina communities’ values and beliefs
  • Lead and support a team of Educators through coaching to drive a culture of continuous improvement and values-driven behaviour
  • Be a motivated and influencing leader who will inspire a positive learning culture
  • You will be supported by an Area Manager and Practice Leader with day-to-day operational and pedagogical outcomes
  • You will lead and contribute to a child safe environment
What will you bring?
  • 3 - 5 years experience in a Nominated Supervisor role
  • Experience leading a large team
  • The ability to develop and maintain relationships and partnerships with stakeholders
  • A sound knowledge of and experience with the Early Years Learning Framework, Victorian Early Years Learning and Development Framework National Quality Standard and Child Safe Standards
  • Demonstrated experience in creating and implementing high quality and inclusive programs for young children
  • Experience with Storypark and an online enrollment and family management platform will be highly regarded
