Description We have an opportunity for an experienced Nominated Supervisor to join our amazing Kindergarten team. As Nominated Supervisor your purpose will be to ensure Sunnyside's compliance with: - the National Law, the National Regulations and the National Quality Standard. - Assisting with communication between the Approved Provider and the regulatory authority. Essential Requirement • Must accept Nominated Supervisors role in writing. More specific responsibilities include: -
  • Educational Programs
  • Supervision and Safety of Children
  • Entry to and Exit from the Premises
  • Food and Beverages
  • Administration of Medication
  • Sleep and Rest
  • Excursions
  • Staffing
  • Information to be displayed
The kindergarten caters for two 3-year-old kindergarten classes with 25 children and two 4-year-old kindergarten classes of 28 children. Sunnyside has extensive resources, wonderful expansive class rooms and a huge outdoor space that is the envy of those who have been lucky enough to see and experience it. Additionally, we have a supportive community-based environment and management team. You will work closely with other educators across the kindergarten in a collaborative manner as the Teachers act as day-to-day in charge to support you. Qualifications Requirements • Extensive Nominated Supervisor and administrative experience in a similar environment • Current Working with Children Check • VIT registration, • National Police Check; • First aid • Annual update of CPR • Anaphylaxis • Asthma training • Obligations Mandatory Reporting Training • Understanding of Reportable conduct ‘Child safe standards’ • Computer proficiency • Understanding of Reggio inspired philosophy • An understanding of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islanders

Additional Requirements This position, commencing as soon as possible, will be ongoing with a 3 month probation period. The Nominated Supervisor is integral to Sunnyside's compliance but also to its cohesive delivery of high quality kindergarten services within the local community.
