About the Centre/Service Yarra Glen Preschool is a committee managed, sessional kindergarten dedicated to providing a safe, healthy and welcoming learning environment for all children, families and early childhood professionals. We provide 3YO and 4YO kindergarten programs and run an extended care program to support our preschool community. Our preschool features an open plan learning space filled with natural light and a brand new, natural outdoor learning space for creative and adventurous play. At Yarra Glen Preschool, we believe that the best outcomes for children’s learning and development take place where there is a strong partnership and open communications with educators, families and the local community. We are committed to providing a child safe environment and we recognise the important role that educators play in protecting and advocating for children’s wellbeing.
Work Days of the Role Negotiable
Hours of Work of the Role 12-15 per week
Description We are seeking a staff member to join our team who is energetic, motivated and who loves to work with and around young children. The successful applicant will be focussed on supporting and implementing efficient and effective administrative and operational functions within the kindergarten. You will have extensive experience in supporting a kindergarten or early learning centre in the administration, financial, human resources and daily operations; excellent written and verbal communication skills; work in a cooperative, flexible and professional manner with children, families, committee, staff and external contractors; be proficient in MS Office Suite, MYOB, Cloud based storage systems and ideally familiar with EnrolNow; and be experienced in liaising with (and supporting operations with) external organisations such as the Department of Education and Training (DET) and ELAA. Qualifications A minimum 2 years’ experience in an administrative or managerial position. Previous experience in an early childhood learning setting preferred.
