About the Centre/Service Talbingo 3-Year-Old Kindergarten Inc. is a privately operated not-for-profit association in Narre Warren. Employment of all staff is undertaken by the Talbingo 3-Year-Old Kindergarten Inc. Committee of Management. The committee are looking for a vibrant, enthusiastic, energetic Co Educator to join our dynamic team.

Work Days of the Role Wednesday, Thursday & Friday

Hours of Work of the Role 8am to 4.30pm

Description The position is a permanent part time role. Working hours are 8am to 4.30pm Wednesday, starting on 29 January 2020. Our program is a sessional model educating twenty one 3-year-old children in each session. Session times are Wednesday, Thursday & Friday 8.30am to 11.00am and 12pm to 2.30pm. Talbingo 3-Year-Old Kindergarten Inc. are looking for someone with a Certificate III in Childhood Services or equivalent to work alongside our lead educator. Previous experience and/or having a Diploma Qualification in Early Childhood Services would be advantageous. As Co Educator will be responsible for monitoring and assisting in teaching the 3-year-old children in our program, supporting our curriculum and partnering with our team to enhance the learning environment at our kinder. You job role includes the following responsibilities-

Assist in the management of day-to-day experiences and activities
Preparation and cleaning up indoors and outdoors before and after the session
Engaging with the children throughout the sessions, during free play, during group times and snack time
Be involved in collaborating with the lead teacher to set up and plan experiences for the children that are inviting, educational and fun
Clean the children’s toilet and receive an allowance for such

The key requirements for this role are:

First Aid training within the last 3 years
Anaphylaxis management training within the last 3 years
CPR training in the last 12 months
Administration of the adrenaline auto-injection device training within the last 12 months
Determination by the Department of Education and Training to be a fit and proper person within the last 5 years
Current Working With Children Check
