About the Centre/Service We are TRY Early Learning and as part of a Social Purpose organisation we have a vision to create a meaningful difference in the lives of children. We strive to provide ALL children with access to high quality Early Childhood Education and Care (ECEC). TRY Melton West Preschool is a community-based centre. We share our building with a Maternal and Child Health Centre and Community Playgroups. We have close ties with Melton West Primary School which is located adjacent to our centre. Our centre has operated on its current premises for more than 47 years and we are now enrolling children of families whose parents completed their preschool year at the centre. Description

We are seeking a dynamic teacher, leader and community builder for the Teacher in Charge role:

  • TRY Melton West Preschool
  • Lead a team and service that makes a real contribution to the community
  • Ideal role for experienced Nominated Supervisor or Centre Director
  • Busy 2-room Preschool with 16 staff and 6 groups (4 x 4yr olds, 2 x 3 yr olds)
  • 28.5 hours per week over 4 days, leading one four-year-old group
  • Session times – Mon & Wed 8.30 to 4.00
  • Leadership & non-contact hours – flexible
  • Term 4 start
