About the Centre/Service bestchance Child Family Care is an independent, not-for-profit community organisation which has been providing high quality support to children and families since 1895. We have over 500 Staff Members and 100 Volunteers delivering a range of educational programs accredited under the Department of Education and Training. These programs include Early Childhood Learning and Development for children under the age of five and Primary Education for children with social/emotional and learning difficulties. These programs are complemented by a range of support services for parents and families such as Early Childhood Intervention and Family Support Services.

The Role: bestchance is seeking an experienced member to join the passionate and supportive Family Day Care team with flexible options to work from home and Glen Waverley. The Team Leader – Family Day Care leads the delivery of high quality Family Day Care services with an expectation of achieving excellence. This will be achieved through the provision of effective leadership and mentoring of staff to drive performance, quality and brand within their services. Key responsibilities:
  • Collaborate to lead and support educational practices
  • Lead a team of 7 Family Day Care Coordinators and Administrators
  • Manage the day-to-day operations, including the budgeting and engagement of Family Day Care Educators
  • Lead the development and implementation of marketing plans to increase occupancy
About you: To be successful you will hold a minimum Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care and have previous experience as a Family Day Care coordinator and/or Educational Leader. Crucial to your success will be your applied knowledge of the National Regulations and Early Years Framework, your proven track record in leading high performing individuals in complex environments and your ability to develop rapport and positive working relationships with stakeholders from a broad range of social and cultural backgrounds. You will have exceptional organisational and time management skills with ability to problem solve and make decisions in complex environments. Your ability to work independently and co-operatively in a team environment, with innovative, supportive and flexible approach will contribute to your success. In return bestchance offers:
