02 FebChild Information Sharing Capacity Building Grants Program 2021-22

Posted on 02 Feb 2022

ELAA has been awarded the Child Information Sharing (the CIS Grants Program) Capacity Building Grants Program 2021-22 for our project, ‘The ABCs of CIS’. The CIS Grants Program and its funded activities are intended to support cultural change in prescribed workforces. This includes understanding and using the Child Information Sharing Scheme (CISS) to promote child wellbeing and safety and, where family violence risk to a child is present, the Family Violence Information Sharing Scheme (FVISS), having regard to the Multi-Agency Risk Assessment and Management Framework (MARAM).

As an Information Sharing Entity (ISE) we are seeking Approved Providers/CoM, Directors/Nominated Supervisors, Team Leaders, Early Childhood Teacher and Educators to take part in ELAA’s project as a Working Group member.

The aim of the Working Group is to engage in co-designing the Child Information Practice Guide and online training module for the early childhood education and care sector.  We are seeking your experience, knowledge, ideas, and thoughts to inform the development of the guide and online training module.

As implementors of CIS and FVIS schemes, your observations and experience working with vulnerable children and families will assist in the development of the Practice Guide, provide authentic case studies and offer insights and ideas which can only come with experienced early childhood practitioners.

The working group will meet a minimum of seven times over the course of the year, for approximately an hour. Meetings will be held monthly on Zoom and an agenda will be sent out a week prior to each meeting. A detailed list of dates and time will be sent upon confirmation of your participation.

If you are interested in being part of this exciting project, please contact Loredana Dowdle.
