10 AugCommunity Shade Grants
Round Six of the Victorian Government’s Community Shade Grants Program has just been announced and applications are now open. Victorian not-for-profit community kindergartens and early education and care services are eligible to apply.
This grants program provides funding for:
- new permanent shade
- repair or replacement of existing permanent shade
- natural shade
- portable shade
- sun protective items (e.g. hats, sunscreen)
These grants have proven to be very popular in the past so the process will be highly competitive.
All applicants will be required to demonstrate their broader commitment to sun protection practices by submitting a sun protection policy (also known as UV policy, or skin cancer prevention policy) upon completion of the project through the acquittal form.
