ARACY and UNICEF Australia launched the Australian Children’s Knowledge Acceleration Hub, a new initiative to ensure the impacts of COVID-19 on children in Australia are fully understood and communicated to decision-makers at all levels.

The Hub seeks to inform the policy and program responses that will meet the needs of children during the COVID-19 crisis and throughout the recovery. The aims of the Hub are to:

  • ensure that the evolving needs of children continue to be well understood
  • accelerate collaboration and coordination to address evidence gaps and build consensus around priorities for action
  • enable knowledge sharing including access to global sources.

The Hub will draw upon Australian and international data and the latest research and analysis of COVID-19 and its impacts on children and families.

The Hub want to here from early years professionals who have developed or changed practice to help children and families deal with the ongoing COVID-19 crisis. They would also like to know if you have developed or are aware of further evidence as to the impacts of COVID-19 that you believe should be taken into account when developing further policy and practice. If you wish to submit information to the Hub:

  • please keep your program summary/contribution to 100 words or less
  • include relevant web links
  • Send your contribution to communications@aracy.org.au with the subject Adaptation Sharing.
