KU Children’s Services has a range of professional learning courses and events available to early childhood professionals. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, professional learning opportunities will be held through webinars over coming months, with in-person events to take place later in the year.

Webinars to be held this month include ‘Reflections on Guiding Children’s Behaviour’ on Wednesday 3 June, a three-part series ‘Infants and Toddlers: Relationships, Learning and Wellbeing’ starting Friday 5 June, and ‘Having Difficult Conversations with Families’ on Tuesday 9 June. Webinars can be accessed from anywhere in Australia – all that is needed is a computer or mobile device with a reliable internet connection.

KU has also recently launched the ‘Provoking Minds’ podcast for early childhood professionals. Episodes will explore and discuss meaningful topics in early childhood education with some of the sector’s most experienced educators and subject matter experts, with the aim of each short episode to provoke minds and inspire excellence.

The first episode on infant-toddler relationships and wellbeing has been released, with future episodes to explore topics ranging from sustainability, behaviour and attachment, and critical reflection, to a series of episodes with internationally renowned early childhood expert Ann Pelo.

The ‘Provoking Minds’ podcast can be listened to on the KU website at http://www.ku.com.au/provoking-minds-podcast and is available on podcast apps such as Apple Podcasts, Google Podcasts and Spotify.
