09 JunFront Project calls for providers to help with economic modelling

Posted on 09 Jun 2020

The Front Project is seeking assistance from ECEC providers to better understand possible futures of early learning sector after COVID-19 crisis. Please read the following from the Front Project.

We know that the impacts of COVID-19 have been felt unevenly across the sector. Many services have had very different experiences depending on where they are located, how they are funded and governed, and what support their communities, families and children need from them.

We would like to know more about what implications services, families and children across Australia could face if a new funding system is introduced for ECEC.

The Front Project has commissioned dandalopartners to model possible economic scenarios over the next 1-3 years and explore how they might impact the early childhood education sector.

Why are we doing this?

We hope this will be a valuable resource for advocates of ECEC, as well as providers that are considering viability over the coming years.  We will also be producing an accessible version of the modelling for public release.

What can you do?

To model the impact of different scenarios, we need information about cost and revenue drivers at centres. You can greatly assist our work by providing this information – we have two ways to do this:

When do we need this?

The deadline for submission is 16th of June 2020.

What about privacy?

We understand that your information is highly sensitive. Answers will be anonymous, and this survey will not collect identifiable information about you or your centre. The information collected in this survey will only be used in an aggregate form to inform scenario models across sector.

If you have questions?

If you have any further questions about confidentiality or how the information will be used, please contact Joe Connell at earlychildhood@dandolo.com.au.
