16 JulHow Be You links to your Quality Improvement Plan

Posted on 16 Jul 2019

Be You  supports your early learning service to address national education priorities and professional responsibilities. The self-assessment process informs your Quality Improvement Plan (QIP).

Your QIP should include the key areas your service has prioritised for improvement and future planning and assess the programs and practices you are involved in against the National Quality Standard and National Regulations.

Those participating in Be You Professional Learning have prioritised working on improving their skills and knowledge to support and promote the mental health and wellbeing of educators, children and their families within their whole learning community.

Have you documented your participation with Be You in your Quality Improvement Plan?

Be You Professional Learning modules link to the National Quality Standard

The flexible Be You framework, comprising of 13 modules grouped under five domains, allows services to start their professional learning at the point that suits them best. This can be determined through collaborative planning with their learning community.

Participating services can also utilise the Be You Surveys and Reflection Tool to identify strengths and areas for improvement and document these in their QIP.

As you work through the Be You modules and embed your learning into everyday practice you’re working towards meeting quality areas.

Each module links to specific National Quality Standard (NQS) Quality Areas. For example the Connect module in the Mentally Healthy Communities domain links to Quality Area 5 Relationships with children and Quality Area 6 Collaborative partnerships with families and communities.

Be You Consultants are available to support your service with the continuous improvement process.
