Posted on 05 May 2021

The Victorian Department of Education and Training is starting a new Specialised Equipment Trial (SET) as part of the existing Kindergarten Inclusion Support (KIS) program, which will operate during the 2021 and 2022 kindergarten years. Specialised equipment will be available for loan, at no cost, to funded kindergarten services to assist them to support children with significant disabilities. These supports will enable the greater inclusion of children with significant disabilities in a Victorian Government funded kindergarten program.

All Victorian Government funded kindergarten services that support a child with a significant disability in a funded kindergarten program (as defined by the Disability Act 2006 (Vic) are eligible to submit a loan request application, if supported by the child’s therapist.

How to apply for KIS SET?

Eligible kindergarten services can apply for specialised equipment by sending a completed loan request application to Yooralla. Applications can be made at any time during the kindergarten year by emailing KISSpecialistEquipment@yooralla.com.au or calling on 03 5990 9672.
