The Australian Department of Education, Skills, and Employment (DESE) has a new video information session for Victorian early childhood education and care providers available on its website. The video, titled Early Childhood Education and Care COVID-19 information session: Coping in a hot spot , includes updates on support available to services and families in Victoria and answers a number specific questions. Key topics covered in the video include:
- Transition payments
- Special Transition Payment for services with low CCS and attendance
- Special Viability Support Payment for OSHC
- additional allowable absences
- questions relating to gap fees, services that don’t pass on Transition Payments to staff, increasing hours, and management of hot spot areas.
