The Victorian Teaching Profession’s Code of Conduct plays an important role in establishing a set of principles which describe the professional conduct, personal conduct and professional competence expected of all Victorian teachers by their colleagues and the community.

The Victorian Institute of Teaching (VIT) has launched a review of the Code. As part of the broader consultation process, VIT is seeking submissions from key education stakeholders and the wider community on the issues put forward in a discussion paper. The discussion paper includes a summary of the feedback from previous consultations on the Principles of the Code as they currently stand, with prompting questions and dilemmas. Written submissions responding to any of the issues, questions and dilemmas are invited until Friday 20 December 2019.
