19 FebStandalone kinders and the Reportable Conduct Scheme

Posted on 19 Feb 2020

Under the Reportable Conduct Scheme, the head of organisation carries legal responsibilities and is ultimately responsible for the organisation’s compliance with the scheme … the Commission for Children and Young People (CCYP) must be notified of the service’s nominated head …

Heads of organisation are usually someone with the title of CEO or Principle Officer. In the case of stand-alone kindergartens, the committee must nominate a head of organisation. Usually the head of organisation would be the President and must formally minuted by the committee. An employee can not take on the role of head of organisation.

The Commission for Children and Young People (CCYP) must be notified of the service’s nominated head of organisation using an online form. There must be supporting documents showing evidence of the endorsement such as minutes of a committee meeting or an annual general meeting.

Contact details of the head of organisation or a change of person nominated as head of organisation must be notified to CCYP.
