10 AugTemporary service closures – notification required

Posted on 10 Aug 2021

Approved providers are reminded that they must notify the Regulatory Authority within seven days of any change to the hours and days of operation of the approved service. This includes closing a service for any reason, whether that be due to lack of staff, a local emergency or any other reason.

In addition to meeting regulatory obligations, notification of service closures provide valuable evidence of issues affecting service delivery such as staff shortages and support ELAA’s advocacy.

NQF providers must notify through NQA ITS. Children’s Services providers must download Form AS10 Notification of change to information about an approved service from the Department’s website at: Children’s services regulated under State law and email it to licensed.childrens.services@education.vic.gov.au.
