Has your early learning service made a demonstrable difference toward improving the lives of young children? If the answer is yes then why not have your work recognised by nominating a staff member or your organisation for a Victorian Early Years Award

Nominations for the awards are open, and services, families, early childhood professionals, and early years support organisations are encouraged to nominate themselves or others.

Now in their 14th year, the Victorian Early Years Awards recognise the crucial work of early childhood professionals in helping young children to learn and thrive. The 2019 award categories are:

  •          Improving access and participation in early learning
  •          Supporting parents through evidence-based practice
  •          Creating collaborative community partnerships
  •          Promoting children’s health and wellbeing
  •          Continuity of early learning
  •          The Emeritus Professor Collette Tayler Excellence in Educational Leadership Award
  •          Early childhood teacher of the year.

Award winners in each category will receive up to $15,000 to continue their exceptional work in kindergartens, schools, local councils, maternal child and health services and other early years organisations across Victoria.

Nominations close at midnight on 24 May, 2019. Winners will be announced at an awards ceremony at the National Gallery of Victoria in October. For more information or to submit a nomination, see: www.education.vic.gov.au/veya
