ELAA CEO, David Worland, comments in The AGE re Vic term 3 kinder fee subsidy changes
ELAA CEO, David Worland, comments in the AGE today following the announcement by Victorian Education Minister, James Merlino, that the fee subsidy payment of $485 per child introduced during term two to assist parents and services during the initial outbreak of COVID-19 will continue into term 3 but at a reduced rate of $230 per child. Additional payments for service cleaning costs are also being extended into the next term.

On Monday, 8 June, the Federal Education Minister, Dan Tehan, announced that the Federal Government would be transitioning from the COVID-19 Child Care Relief package which essentially provided free childcare to families back to the Pre-COVID-19 Child Care Subsidy system (with some relaxation of the CCS Activity Test for a limited 12 week period during the transition phase).
