Infrastructure grants to help with 3-year-old roll out in Vic

The Victorian School Building Authority provides year-round grant opportunities to Victoria’s early childhood sector through its Building Blocks funding program.  In September 2021, they launched a new Planning grant to help organisations plan and prepare future kindergarten infrastructure projects. Eligible organisations can apply for a one-off grant of up to $150,000 for planning and pre-construction work for projects that will help the roll out of 3-year-old kindergarten across Victoria.

What does the announcement of mandatory COVID-19 vaccinations for Vic ECEC workers mean for your service?

Victoria’s Education Minister, James Merlino, has announced that all staff in all Early Childhood Education and Care (ECEC) settings will need to have their first dose of a COVID-19 vaccination by 18 October and be fully  vaccinated by 29 November. (more…)

SEVEN DAY LOCKDOWN: GEELONG, SURF COAST and MITCHELL SHIRE COMMENCES 11.59pm THIS EVENING (SUNDAY 19 SEPTEMBER)

The Victorian Government Chief Health Officer has announced today that the City of Greater Geelong, the Surf Coast and Mitchell Shire will enter a seven-day lockdown commencing at 11:59pm on Sunday 19 September, with restrictions the same as those in the City of Ballarat and metropolitan Melbourne, excluding the curfew.
