Information sharing and family violence reforms: register for webinars

Early childhood education and care services, schools and health and wellbeing services will be joining the Child Information Sharing Scheme (CISS), the Family Violence Information Sharing Scheme (FVISS) and the Family Violence Action Framework in the first half of 2021. These reforms will enable professionals from authorised organisations and services to share information with other professionals to promote child wellbeing and safety and reduce family violence. In Term 3, 2020 webinars will be available for leaders of ECEC, school and OSHC services. (more…)

New Vic recommendations on face masks for temperature checking

The Department of Education and Training has updated its advice regarding the use of Face masks. A single-use facemask or cloth mask made to DHHS standards is recommended for early years staff performing temperature checks. (more…)

Important updates to ELAA’s COVID-19 FAQ page

In light of very recent Australian and Victorian Government announcements regarding Child Care Subsidy, kindergarten fee relief payments, and risk mitigation measures during the Melbourne metro and Mitchell Shire re-imposition of Stage 3 restrictions, ELAA has updated the following Frequently Asked Questions on its coronavirus (COVID-19) FAQ page. Early ABLES

Early ABLES is an online assessment for learning tool to help all educators create and provide a more tailored learning experience for children aged two to five years with disabilities or developmental delay. Training to use the Early ABLES tool is done online, and contributes up to five hours to the Victorian Institute of Teaching’s annual professional learning requirements. (more…)
