08 AugChanges to the NQF starting from 1 October 2023
State Education Ministers agreed in 2022 that there would be changes made to the National Quality Framework (NQF) based on the NQF Review from 2019. The first and second round of changes to be implemented in the NQF came into effect in March and July 2023. A third round of regulatory changes will be implemented from 1 October 2023, these changes will:
- improve the safety and wellbeing of children
- amend requirements for the Family Day Care to strengthen regulatory oversight and safety
- improve the provision of NQF information to families.
