17 JulDepartment of Education Victoria’s new evidence factsheet to build understanding of the Best Start, Best Life reforms
To help build a shared understanding of the evidence and benefits underpinning the Best Start, Best Life reforms, a new evidence factsheet has been developed.
This new resource includes evidence around:
- the learning potential for children in their early years during a crucial period of brain development
- how 2 years of quality play-based learning can support children before starting school
- the benefits of a longer program (30 hours) of play-based learning in the year before school
- the cumulative impact of the Best Start, Best Life reforms.
You can find the evidence factsheet on the ‘Evidence behind 2 years and more time in kindergarten’.
