04 FebBringing together imagination in play & STEM
The Conceptual PlayLab at Monash University is offering an exciting self-paced online professional development programme for early childhood teachers! Start the new year by learning more about the ‘intentional teaching’ of Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) to young children in play-based programs through the Conceptual PlayWorld model.
A Conceptual PlayWorld, inspired by a children’s book or a fairy tale story, is an imaginary scenario created by an educator where young children are invited to go on imaginary journeys, meet and solve challenges, and learn STEM concepts – all while playing.
Aligning with the EYLF learning and development outcomes and the NQS practice principles, the free PD brings together imagination in play and imagination STEM. Packed with videos and resources to support you – you can do it at your own pace, wherever you are!
