30 MayState Library of Victoria – Kindergarten IT Program Training Webinars Term Two 2024
The State Library of Victoria provides the Kindergarten IT Program (the Program) funded by the Department of Education.
The Program provides IT support to community-based, not-for-profit services and early years management organisations operating a funded kindergarten program.
The Program regularly runs training sessions that help service staff develop their IT knowledge and awareness of privacy and cyber security. Components of the information in the training may support service staff with better information about safety and risks in the online environment. Further information on the importance of the training can be found in Child Safe Standard 9 (Physical and online environments promote safety and wellbeing while minimising the opportunity for children and young people to be harmed) and elements of the National Quality Framework.
Teachers, staff and volunteers working in Victorian community kindergartens can attend the training. Additionally, teachers and staff working in a Victorian funded kindergarten program are invited to take part in the IT training at no extra cost. The sessions are booked on a first come first serve basis.
The sessions for June 2024 are outlined below:
- Digital safety – email
