17 FebVECTEA Teacher Capability Assessment (Validation) – DET Resources and Member Forum Coming Soon
Members may have recently received notification from their teachers regarding the new validation requirements under the VECTEA, the Capability Assessment. Under the VECTEA 2020 and mirror agreements, employers must conduct an internal Capability Assessment for their eligible Level 2.5 teachers to progress to Level 3.1
The Department of Education and Training (DET) is currently developing a comprehensive resource for the sector to assist employers and teachers with conducting this assessment, which is expected to be published in late February or early March. ELAA will notify our members once this resource is available to the sector.
ELAA will be supporting Committees of Management with a member information forum in the coming weeks. In addition, members are encouraged to review upcoming ELAA member updates for further information.
