25 June, 2018 @ 9:30 am - 2:30 pm UTC+10

When thinking about children’s behaviours we must first consider why children behave the way they do and how to avoid children behaving inappropriately rather than how to manage the behaviour after it occurs.

This session will explore how our learning environments and all the elements within it (people, spaces, routines etc.) can support or hinder children’s sense of wellbeing and consequently their behaviour. With a focus on relationships, practical strategies and educator self-care, this session will inspire educators to create calm, consistent, engaging and supportive learning environments.
