WorkSafe have visited 470 Victorian early childhood services in 12 months
This course is specifically designed for those responsible for the management of OHS in early childhood services. The seminar will provide practical information and guidance on how to manage risks by addressing the most common hazards faced by the early childhood sector, as well as strategies to prevent injuries from occurring in the work place. Topics will cover a broad range of areas including:
- OHS laws in Victoria
- Duties of employees
- Hazard identification assessments
- Manual handling
- Office ergonomics
- Psychological wellbeing of employees
- Worker’s compensation
- Supporting employee return to work.

Presenters: Zora Marko (ELAA) and Emma Morgan (Recovre)
ABOUT THE PRESENTERS
Zora Marko is the Road Safety Education Project Manager and OHS Coordinator at ELAA and is a passionate advocate for children’s safety. Zora is a representative on a number of national and state safety groups and her expertise in the child safety space is highly valued. Zora is also the coordinator of the Early Childhood OH&S Champions project funded by Worksafe.
Emma Morgan is an Occupational Therapist at Recovre who manages a national OHS training and consulting team. Emma has worked extensively with a wide range of customers and industries to address a range of health, safety and wellbeing matters, including manual handling, ergonomics and mental health risk.
