The Australian Children’s Education and Care Quality Authority (ACECQA) reports tell us that Quality Area 1 (QA1) continues to challenge and stretch teams working in early childhood education and care settings. This session is for everyone in your team – teachers, educators and educational leaders.

The session will focus on providing new ideas and tools for looking at QA1 through a team lens, enabling you to approach the cycle of planning and critical reflection from a whole team perspective. The session will answer the critical questions:  ‘What does critical reflection mean to our team?’ and ‘What does it currently look like?’.  This event will also include a workshop where you will have the opportunity to work with strategies that identify team strengths – so you can create a plan to simplify and strengthen your planning cycle and reflection in your service.

ABOUT THE PRESENTER

Anthony Semann is one of the directors and founders at Semann and Slattery. For the past 16 years he has worked as a researcher, consultant, and manager in a wide range of organisations in Australia and overseas. Anthony challenges organisations and people to reflect on how their approaches to communication, leadership, diversity, values, relationships and workplace culture affect the services, businesses and community. Anthony is currently completing a PhD at Macquarie University and exploring the nexus between leadership and courage.
