Starting Out Safely Free Professional Development for Educators

Starting Out Safely, funded by VicRoads, is Victoria’s early childhood road safety education program.

Early Learning Association Australia would like to invite you to a free road safety education professional development session for educators involved in teaching and planning curriculum in early childhood services. This session is suitable for all professionals working in the early childhood sector including students, educators working in funded kindergartens, long day care, Out of Hours School Care and Family Day Care.

The 1½ hour interactive session, presented by Louise Dorrat, will give you practical strategies to support young children’s learning about road safety, centered on the latest evidence-based research.

The session will identify how road safety education links to the EYLF, the VEYLDF and the National Quality Standard and is linked to best practice road safety education and safe transportation of children policies.

We ask that educators undertake this professional development every three years.

This session is available to all educators. Please note to be eligible for the ThingleToodle incursion request data base services must have bachelor and diploma qualified educators participate in this session.
