According to Worksafe¹ over 60% of injuries reported in the early childhood sector are musculoskeletal. To protect the health of staff and prevent these injuries services need to have in place the appropriate protocols and practices.

ABOUT THE PRESENTER

Zora Marko – OHS Coordinator and Project Manager

Zora has a keen interest in occupational health and safety in children’s services and has over 20 years’ senior experience in industrial relations. Zora led the sector’s Early Childhood OH&S Champions Project.   She sits on the Worksafe Health and Community Services Reference Group and the Worksafe ECEC Collaboration Partnership.   Zora has also championed the safe transportation of children and participates in key road safety stakeholder groups, including Road Safety Education Reference Group Australasia (RSERGA) and was on the committee of the Victorian Safe Communities Network (VSCN).
