24 MarChild Information Sharing Scheme Survey

Posted on 24 Mar 2022

The Child Information Sharing Scheme (CISS) was introduced to enable Victorian Early Childhood Education and Care (ECEC) professionals to share information about children’s wellbeing and safety with other authorised professionals who work with children and families.

In response to the Victorian Government’s independent CISS Two Year Review, the Department of Education and Training has introduced the Child Information Sharing Capacity Building Grants Program (CIS Grants Program). Its purpose is to build workforce awareness of and confidence in using the CISS to promote child wellbeing and safety and, where family violence risk to a child is present, the Family Violence Information Sharing Scheme (FVISS), having regard to the Multi-Agency Risk Assessment and Management Framework (MARAM).

As we know the wellbeing and safety of children is essential for their learning and development, as an early childhood practitioner, you are well placed to support children and their families. However, the use of the scheme among children’s services is yet to be widely adopted. We want to understand what you need and how best to deliver this information so you’re better informed about the scheme’s requirements, and how you can access resources, training and support easily.

Share your experience and challenges with us through the completion of this survey to help us tailor the support needed to ensure that ECEC services are meeting their obligations under the CISS.

Your perspective is valuable and strictly confidential. All responses will be de-identified.

Complete this survey and you may be eligible for a chance to win one of seven prizes, total prize pool worth over $1,300!
