KU Children’s Services’ interactive learning events are designed to increase your knowledge and skillset, inspiring you to reimagine your daily practice.

Our five-part online series ‘The Life of Infants and Toddlers’ will explore the topics critical to transforming programs for infants and toddlers.

The sessions will run from May to September and are designed to support you to connect theory and practice, empowering you to create environments where young children can truly thrive and develop.

Here is a brief snapshot for what you can expect from each session:

The Program for Infants and Toddlers explores the concept of infant and toddler learning programs including what they are, why we need them, and what they look like.

Agency Counts with Infants and Toddlers explores what agency means for our work with infants and toddlers to support their learning, development and wellbeing.

Connecting with Families explores what it means to develop supportive and meaningful relationships with families and practical ways to make connections in infant and toddler settings.

Rituals and Transitions focuses on the difference between routines and rituals, the importance of understanding the transition process, and providing time and space for meaningful rituals and transitions.

Orientation for Infants and Their Families examines what makes for a quality orientation experience for infants and their families.
