14 DecBest Start Best Life consultation opportunity
ELAA and the Victorian Department of Education and Training (Vic DET) will be hosting sector consultations with our membership, to inform the Government’s Best Start, Best Life campaign that aims to expand kindergarten programs across Victoria. These sessions will be an opportunity for ELAA to form small working groups that will advise Vic DET on their Best Start, Best Life program. We are excited to have gained this opportunity for our membership, as it demonstrates Vic DET’s commitment to seeking out the Early Childhood Education and Care (ECEC) sector’s expertise to inform policy formulation.
The five consultation sessions will have a focus and include:
- infrastructure
- system enablers
- quality
- workforce
- access, participation and outcomes.
We will be releasing more information in the new year. We encourage you to attend and to utilise the sessions as opportunities for your voices to be heard and to enact change within the Victorian ECEC sector.
