About the Centre/Service Peninsula Sands Pre School in Rosebud is seeking a professional, experienced, enthusiastic and passionate Early Childhood Teacher. • Our Pre School is registered for 30 places, open Monday - Friday from 8.30 am till 4.30 pm • We pride ourselves on providing a warm, welcoming and nurturing environment. • Children are provided with a holistic education. We foster their love of learning and inquisitive natures in order to ensure each child is ready for their schooling and life beyond Pre School.
Work Days of the Role Wednesday, Thursday & Friday
Hours of Work of the Role 8:30am - 4:30pm
Description To be considered for the position the ideal applicant MUST be:
  • able to form positive relationships with children and families quickly.
  • open minded and a quick learner to pick up routines and programming already in place and continue to implement these.
  • self-motivated, enthusiastic and able to use their initiative.
  • able to write and communicate effectively.
  • committed to demonstrating excellence in Early Childhood.
  • enjoys going on regular outings/walks/bush kinder with the Children
The role will involve:
  • Taking on challenges and staying up to date with current Early Childhood Pedagogy and Practice.
  • Working in a close knit, family environment.
  • Creating and implementing high quality, responsive early childhood programs, through collaborative partnerships with fellow educators, families and our local communities (incorporating curriculum areas such as Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander history, Sustainability, Well being as well as many more).
  • Critically reflecting and implementing change to enhance growth.
  • Ensuring Child Protection legislation for the care and protection of the children is adhered to.
  • Developing partnerships with families and our local community and looking for ways to work collaboratively with them to enhance the children’s learning and development.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor of Early Childhood Education or Studying Towards
  • VIT Registration
  • Current WWCC, Police Check, First Aid Qualification
  • Asthma & Anaphylaxis Training
