Doris Blackburn Preschool has been providing quality, affordable education for 4 year old and 3 year old children in the local area nearly 80 years. We are an independent, community-based Centre that encourages our children to engage in a play-based program making their learning meaningful, relevant, interesting and imaginative.

Description
Doris Blackburn Preschool is seeking an enthusiastic and confident Diploma qualified Early Childhood Educator to work in our 3YO Yellow Group in 2025. The role will commence on Tuesday 28th January 2025.
To be eligible to apply for a position at Doris Blackburn Preschool, you need to have the following:
- To be familiar with the National Quality Standard (NQS) and associated learning frameworks.
- Appropriate understanding and knowledge of early childhood development.
- The ability to provide a developmentally appropriate educational program in partnership with the early childhood teacher and parents.
- Ability to plan, reflect, work and manage time effectively with minimal supervision.
- Be a positive role model to children.
- Ability to ensure confidentiality of information
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (both written and oral) and confidence to engage with a diverse range of people
- Demonstrated ability to facilitate a positive work culture and be solution focused in thinking and practice
- Confidence using technology
- Knowledge of Child Safety Standards, Reportable Conduct Scheme, Child Protection and Mandatory Reporting obligations.
Qualifications
Essential requirements
Hold an approved Diploma level qualification, or be actively working towards a qualification in accordance with the Education and Care Services National Law Act 2010 and the Education and Care Services National Regulations.
