ELAA wishes to spotlight the incredible work that our friends at the Australian Education Research Organisation (AERO) have been doing.

AERO is hosting a series of free webinars to introduce their early childhood learning trajectories.  

The trajectories describe how children learn and develop. These are designed for teachers and educators working in Early Childhood Education and Care (ECEC) for children from birth to the years before school. Victorian ECEC teachers and their education teams should consider these resources alongside the Early Years Assessment and Learning Tool (EYALT) that is currently trialled across funded kindergarten programs.  

ELAA encourages our members to register for one of AERO’s upcoming information sessions. These sessions are targeted for different groups:  

  1. Leaders: Wednesday, 23 August 2023, AEST 1:00pm – 2:00pm.  
    Suitable for Service Directors, Educational Leaders, Family Day Care Coordinators, Area Managers and other leaders.
  2. Educators and Teachers: Thursday, 21 September 2023, AEST 1:00pm – 2:00pm. 
    Suitable for Early Childhood Teachers, Educators, and Pre-service teachers.
  3. Others: Tuesday, 24 October 2023, AEDT 1:00pm – 2:00pm. 
    Suitable for others with interest in early childhood, such as Registered Training Organisations (RTOs), Initial Teacher Education (ITE), Early Childhood Consultants, Inclusion support agencies, and other advisory / sector roles.
