30 AugUpdate to approved national learning frameworks
Following the process of refreshing the national frameworks, both national approved learning frameworks have been updated – Belonging, Being & Becoming: The Early Years Learning Framework for Australia (EYLF) V2.0 2022 and My Time, Our Place: Framework for School Age Care in Australia V2.0 2022.
The updates strengthen the connection between the approved learning frameworks and the National Quality Standard in the following areas:
- transitions
- sustainability
- theoretical approaches
- critical reflection
- Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander ways of being, knowing and doing, and inclusion.

Providers are encouraged to review the updated frameworks and incorporate any new or modified elements of the frameworks into their educational program.
The original national learning frameworks will remain in operation alongside the updated frameworks until early 2024.
