Do you have a bachelor’s degree, diploma, or certificate III qualification in Early Childhood Education and Care (ECEC)? Are you employed in a Victorian Government-funded kindergarten? Then the Respectful Relationships learning program for early childhood educators could be for you.

This online learning program is scheduled for October and November 2023, with a focus on enhancing the capabilities of early childhood educators in the following areas:

  • empowering them to incorporate respectful relationships, positive attitudes, and behaviors into their teaching approaches, thereby facilitating the development of healthy relationships, resilience, and confidence among children
  • equipping them with an understanding of the pivotal role of gender equality in preventing family violence, alongside practical strategies for integrating gender equality into their teaching practices
  • ensuring they can identify and respond effectively to family violence while establishing robust support networks.

About the professional learning program

The program has been crafted in collaboration with world-renowned experts from Monash University, and it aligns with the Victorian Early Years Learning and Development Framework and the National Quality Standard.

The program is featured on the School Readiness Funding Menu, and services can leverage this option to organise backfill or seek additional support for educators to undertake the training.
