Introducing Growing Futures – an introduction to safety (Member Only)

26 October, 2023 @ 12:30 pm - 1:30 pm UTC+10

An introduction to keeping kids safe

During this free one-hour introductory presentation Helen Haydock from Growing Futures will cover:

  • the context and prevalence of child abuse and harm in Australia
  • the Victorian Child Safe Standards
  • the intent behind each Standard and considerations for Early Childhood Services.

Helen facilitates training for Early Childhood services that focus on safety beyond compliance. Helen’s sessions offer interactive elements that incorporate case studies, drawing on her extensive experience working with both perpetrators of abuse and children, families and adults who have experienced harm. This presentation will not be interactive; however, Helen will be responding to questions that you may have.

Prior to Helen’s presentation, ELAA encourages members to submit questions that relate to the Victorian child safe standards or her training. Questions can be submitted via registration.
