About the Centre/Service Springside Kindergarten is a well-respected community-based centre, situated in a beautiful, natural Australian bush environment in a quiet residential neighbourhood in Keysborough. For 50 years the Kindergarten has been managed by a dedicated parent committee and we take great pride in our NQF rating of EXCEEDING in all 7 Quality Areas We offer 3 & 4 year old sessions between 8.30am – 1.30pm on Mondays Tuesdays and Wednesdays. Springside Kindergarten acknowledges and celebrates the traditional custodians of the land on which we learn and play - the Bunurong people of the Kulin Nation - and pay our respect to elders past and present
Work Days of the Role Mondays Tuesdays Wednesdays in school terms only
Hours of Work of the Role 15 hours contact 8 hours non contact. TOTAL: 23 hours
Description An exciting opportunity has become available for a warm, caring and friendly teacher who will derive joy and satisfaction in joining our small but passionate and diverse kindergarten community. This position is well suited to inspirational teachers able to:
  • contribute to and support our philosophy and innovative programs
  • develop nurturing and positive relationships with children, families & community;
  • co-deliver a creative and engaging play based pedagogy where listening to and collaborating with children is always central

Qualifications A Bachelor of Education - Early Childhood or an equivalent early childhood teaching qualification as approved by ACECQA
Requirements VIT Registration
Additional Requirements Mandatory reporting; child protection training Experience in teaching in sessional kindergarten is preferred
Industrial Agreement/Award Victorian Early Childhood Teachers and Educators Agreement 2020 (VECTEA)
