Yarra Valley Preschool is a single-unit Sessional Kindergarten running two groups in 2025: a 3YO (5/5/5) group and a 4YO (7.5/7.5) group.

Description We are seeking an enthusiastic and experienced Certificate III Educator and Break Cover Diploma Educator to join our team at Yarra Valley Preschool. Our programs provide children with the opportunity to develop their skills in a real way and for a real purpose. We provide a well-structured environment that allows children to grow according to their nature and potential. In order for children to extend upon their own learning and gain the meaning of their world, we facilitate activities based on their interests.
  • Certificate III Educator role is a fixed-term position until 26 January 2026. Working Monday, Tuesday and Thursday 8:00am - 2:15pm. A total of 18.75 hours.
  • Break Cover Diploma Educator role is a fixed-term position until 15 July 2025. Working Friday 11:30am - 1:30pm. A total of 2 hours.
What will you do? 
  • Work collaboratively with your team to provide an appropriate developmental and enriching program for children which maximises opportunities for them to develop to their full potential
  • Build and maintain positive and meaningful relationships with children, families, staff and the local community
  • Be a motivated and driven Educator, who will actively contribute to the program, through detailed observations & documentation
  • Build positive behaviour guidance strategies and provide spontaneous play-based learning experiences to extend on children's learning
  • Contribute to a child safe environment ensuring standards are met on a daily basis

Qualifications More about you
  • Have a sound knowledge of and experience with implementing the Early Years Learning Framework, National Quality Standards and Child Safety Standard
  • Hold the appropriate ACEQA approved qualifications
  • Current Working with Children's Check
  • Current Level 2 First Aid, CPR, Anaphylaxis & Asthma Certificate
