About the Centre/Service
Camberwell Baptist CHurch Kindergarten exists to communicate God's love to children and their families through provision of a high quality, community focused, educationally appropriate programme that is shaped around a Christian perspective and ethos.
Camberwell Baptist Church Kindergarten located in East Hawthorn and is a stand alone sessional kindergarten who seeks to provide a happy, caring and secure environment in accordance with our motto “Caring for children and families”. We run a Three Year Old Kindergarten Program and a Four Year Old Kindergarten Program. Many of the children continue on for to the Extended Hours programs.
All programs provide a balance between child initiated and adult supported experiences in which play is valued and coming to kindergarten is FUN.
We have a strong sense of community and promote respectful relationships. Children from many different cultures are represented at our kindergarten. Our Management Committee is made up of members from Camberwell Baptist Church and the parent community.
A beautiful indoor and outdoor space is available to the children to enjoy with our extensive range of resources.

Description
This position is a permanent casual position commencing Term 3. Cert3/Diploma applications welcome.
Monday/Wednesday 12midday to 1.30pm lunch care relief - 4 year old group. Tuesday/Thursday 12 midday to 1.30pm - 3 year old group
We are looking for a person who is passionate about working in our play based Kindergarten within a close knit team.
The successful applicant must have an understanding of the Child Safe Standards, National Regs and EYLF.
Qualifications
To be successful for this position, you will have:
Certificate 3 or Diploma Certificate in Early Childhood Education
- Excellent knowledge of all relevant regulations and statutory requirements
- Thorough knowledge of VEYLDF and NQF
- An understanding of The Child Safe Standards
- Support the implementing of a program for the 3 year old kindergarten children reflective of the values and ethos in our kinder philosophy
- Ability to work in a team environment with the Director, staff, Committee of Management and families.
