Targeting Cognition to Improve Behaviour
March 6 @ 7:00 pm - 8:00 pm AEDT
Join Dr Rosalyn Muir for an introduction to executive functions and how a focus on cognition can support behavioural outcomes.
Dr Muir is an accomplished educator with a global career spanning five continents. Her extensive experience in various roles, from classroom teacher to headteacher, advisor, and researcher, has reinforced her belief in the pivotal role educators play in shaping students’ futures. Her PhD research focused on professional learning and the development of executive functions and self-regulation in preschool contexts. Dr Muir is passionate about bridging the gap between theory and practice and supporting educators to achieve this. Her recently published book ‘Developing Executive Functioning in the Early Years – SOWATT can I do?’ introduces her framework for developing these critical, yet often overlooked, life skills in the classroom on a daily basis.
