Introducing WorkSafe’s new education program

24 August, 2023 @ 2:30 pm - 3:30 pm UTC+10

ELAA and WorkSafe will provide our sector with an overview of what’s happening in the ECEC OHS space here in Victoria. This will include the new free WorkSafe training available,  ‘Manual Handling Basics’.

We asked.

ELAA recently sent out a questionnaire asking the sector about the OHS forum topics that they wanted more information on.

You said …

  • Manual Handling (90%)
  • Mental Health (85%)
  • WorkSafe Inspections (76%)
  • Health and Safety Representatives (65%)

We listened.

The first free forum ELAA will be hosting is one specifically for the ECEC sector to hear from WorkSafe about their latest initiatives on manual handling.

They will speak about their “Manual Handling Basics” program. You will have the opportunity to ask questions and have your say in relation to the sector’s issues around manual handling.

ELAA will be hosting this forum and Zora Marko (ELAA OHS Co-Ordinator) will be moderating. If you have specific questions that you would like addressed, please email them through to ELAA so we can brief WorkSafe so they are able to address your manual handling queries.

Presenters: Zora Marko – OHS Co-Ordinator, ELAA | Jade Liston – Senior Ergonomist, WorkSafe
