Description

We are currently seeking a motivated and enthusiastic part-time 3-Year-Old Kindergarten Teacher to join our team from Term 3 on an ongoing basis. This is a wonderful opportunity to play a meaningful role in the early education of children in Chelsea Heights.

In 2026, there is a potential opportunity to expand the role to include a day working off-site at our local community centre, delivering a Bush Kinder program from 9am–2pm.

Key Responsibilities:

  • designing, planning, implementing and evaluating educational programs and practices, including following and implementing the EYLF & VEYLDF
  • leading and supporting the wellbeing, learning and development of children
  • providing pedagogical leadership
  • coaching, mentoring and supervising co-workers
  • building and maintaining strong relationships with children and their families
  • complying with, and supporting other educators to comply with, service policies and legislation
  • working with community members and external agencies
  • committed to embedding child safe standards & sustainability practices
Qualifications
  • Bachelor qualified teacher
  • Experience running a bush kinder program (or a passion to run one)
  • Be able to develop, plan and implement the program
  • A sound understanding of play-based pedagogy
  • Work and manage time effectively
  • Have excellent communication skills and work well as part of a team.
