About the Centre/Service Merri-bek Early Years Management (MEYM) proudly manages 8 high-quality, stand-alone kindergartens in the Merri-bek municipality. We are a not for-profit organisation focused on delivering outstanding 3 and 4 year kindergarten to local families within the communities where our services operate.
Description MEYM is seeking passionate early childhood professionals to join our team on a casual basis. We have 8 sites within the Merri-Bek municipality:
  • Gowanbrae Children's Centre
  • Lake Park Kindergarten
  • Newlands Preschool
  • Moomba Park Kindergarten
  • Turner St Kindergarten
  • Oak Park Kindergarten
  • Pascoe Vale Community Centre Kindergarten
  • St Linus Kindergarten
We are looking for staff who can work a variety of shifts (2 hours to 7.5 hours) across our services on an as-needed basis during term times. As a valued member of our casual team, you will:
  • Contribute to engaging, play-based environments that foster children’s curiosity, creativity, and development.
  • Work alongside passionate educators and teachers, sharing knowledge, learning from diverse experiences, and contributing to strong educational outcomes.
  • Support children’s growth through positive role modelling, relationship building, and evidence-based teaching practices.
We are interested in hearing from you if you have a Certificate III or Diploma in early childhood, whether you’re newly qualified, an experienced educator, or returning to the sector. Pay rates are commensurate with the VECTEA 2020 and are dependent on experience and qualification MEYM is a child safe organisation and our recruitment practices reflect our commitment to ensuring the safety and wellbeing of young people in our care.
