About the Centre/Service About us Early Years @ Phoenix Park is a community based early learning centre that is managed by a parent committee. Early Years @ Phoenix Park offers long day care, integrated 4-year-old kindergarten and 3 and 4-year-old sessional kindergarten programs. Description The Opportunity EYPP is looking for an experienced and passionate Service Manager to work alongside our established Management team and lead our wider cohort in the highest delivery of education and care across both Long Day Care and Sessional Kindergarten. Our Service Manager will lead the philosophy and strategic direction of the centre. As a Service Manager you will be responsible for the day-to-day operations of the centre and will work closely with the team, sub-committees and Committee of Management to ensure the best outcomes for children, families and the community. You will be a natural at building relationships, committed to mentoring, leading and supporting the team so that high quality educational programs continue for our children. Key Responsibilities 
  • Drive EYPP’s philosophy and strategic plan, with an emphasis on delivering exceptional early education and care
  • Work closely and effectively with EYPP’s Committee of Management to ensure the best outcomes for children and families
  • Maintain and grow EYPP’s current service delivery offerings
  • Oversee the business operations of EYPP in line with legislative requirements and EYPP’s policies and; procedures.
  • Provide leadership and guide the team of educators to plan and deliver exceptional educational programs with a focus on continuous improvement and innovation
  • Develop and maintain community connections;
  • Maintain a harmonious and effective relationship with families, team members, children and the local community.
Qualifications About you To be successful in this role you will have:
  • Demonstrated experience managing an early childhood education service through assessment and rating at exceeding level (desired)
  • Exceptional leadership and management skills including the ability to inspire, motivate and maintain a positive team culture
  • Highly developed time management skills, including the development of systems and schedules to increase efficiency
  • Knowledge of a range of software platforms including Qik Kids, StoryPark, Xplor and Xero (preferred)
  • Advanced IT skills
  • Solid track record of building positive relationships with families and community engagement
  • Demonstrated leadership of innovative projects, extension or improvement to service delivery
  • Current Working with Children Check
  Essential
  • Diploma of Children’s services or above (minimum)
  • Current Working with Children Check
  • Current Police Check
  • Mandatory Reporting Certificate
  The successful candidate will be remunerated in line with their qualifications and experience in an individual contract that greatly exceeds the award.
