About the Centre/Service Ave Maria Kindergarten is expanding we need two educators to start in 2024. We are a vibrant, inclusive community kindergarten providing quality 3 and 4-year-old kindergarten programs in Aberfeldie. Established in 1957, Ave Maria Kindergarten is a not-for-profit sessional kinder run by a Committee of Management made up of parent volunteers. It is the largest double-unit preschool centre in the community and has four x 4-year-old groups and three x 3-year-old groups offering programs to approximately 160 families. Our curriculum is play-based and emergent, and our focus is on supporting and extending the children’s interests and strengths to develop confidence, curiosity and an enthusiasm for learning. Our teachers and educators are experienced, enthusiastic and committed to our children, programs and the ongoing success of our kindergarten. As a kindergarten, we are committed to providing a child safe environment. Ave Maria Kindergarten has an excellent reputation for its early year's programs and was assessed in 2021 as ‘Exceeding’ the National Quality Standards

Description Ave Maria Kindergarten is expanding we need two educators to start in 2024. We are currently looking for a passionate and experienced educators who is committed to providing a sense of confidence, joy and wonder to life and learning, to join our team. The position will be in a group with two other educators.  Extra hours are available relieving within our service. The successful candidate will have a current understanding of the Victorian Early Years Learning  Framework, Early Childhood Education and Care Legislation and the Assessment and Rating Process. A high level of written and verbal communication skills, be confident with using a computer and a high level of interpersonal skills with other educators, children, families and the community. Ability to work in a cooperative, flexible and professional manner with children, parents, staff, director and committee of management. Job benefits and perks

  • Diploma in children's services
